It is in Opio in the town of the Golf d’Opio Valbonne that you can visit the largest oil mill in the Alpes-Maritimes. Take part in one of the free visits organised by a member of the family to discover the history of the mill and its 7 successive generations, the history of olive growing and olive trees.
You will then have the opportunity to better understand the difference between a traditional mill and a modern mill with innovative technology. Don’t leave the mill without going through the shop and bringing back a bottle of olive oil as a souvenir of your golfing stay at Opio.
The region is known for its Fragonard perfumery. While passing through Opio, take advantage of its proximity to the perfumer’s factory to visit the packaging workshops where you will witness the transformation of perfumed products into refined products ready to be marketed.
Then continue with a visit to the laboratory where the raw materials are controlled and analysed to bring out the concentrates of the future Fragonard perfumes.
